What makes Concerts in the Park a Sacramento staple is not only the legendary live performances happening on stage, but the summer music series is a constant social center for diverse communities and cultures in our city to unite. With its positive energy and great vibes flowing throughout the vicinity, it’s sad to see Concerts in the Park come to another close this season. But RADIO 94.7 came out to celebrate the final Concerts in the Park of the summer by enjoying all the sites, sounds, and people one last time until next year.

To start off the night Joseph ONE took the Blue Diamond stage and got the public ready for a real celebration for the warm summer night. In between sets he made sure to keep the audience energized and amused with classics from the 90s and early 00s.

At the RADIO 94.7 tent we were giving away another set of awesome prizes through prize pong like: Monterey Bay Aquarium goodies, CDs, Smash Mouth tickets, and movies passes for some of the latest releases in theaters. We also had one last enter-to-win for visitors to win a pair of tickets to this year's City of Trees

Opening main stage was Mikey LP and the Krooks! The revolving band brought out a sound of alternative folk that intrigued audiences by their sheer talent performing a wide variety of original music and some impressive covers.

As for tasty snacks, choices included local frozen treats from Conscious Creamery, nachos from It’s Nacho Truck, and the always on point comfort food by Cecil’s Taste.

After grabbing food and finding a good spot on the lawn for the next act anyone could see that the crowd was especially canine friendly tonight. Puppies big and small were all smiling along with their owners ready for Ideateam to take the stage. Ideateam is a 9-piece ensemble that fuse together all genres. They consist of two guitars, bass, drums, percussion, brass section, and a cast of featured vocalists. With their the group explores giving the public tunes to move and groove to, they blend the old and new sound of funk and genuinely show that each member has an enthusiasm for playing music always exciting to see in large bands.

With apparel The People of Sacramento released their new line of shirts and various goodies this night and many locals were seen rocking their new 916 hats and Sacramento inspired shirts that exude the town we love and call home.

Right before the last act of the night, Andy Hawk graced the main stage and announced the especially lucky winner of a pair of City of Trees tickets from RADIO 94.7! With so many entries, Jose Vega became the winner of the night. When he came by the tent and picked up his prize and told us how stoked he was to see Blink-182 along with the other rad acts we are cooking up for the event.
