Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers Covers Judas Priest With Babymetal

December 19, 2016

The London audience for last night's Red Hot Chili Peppers concert were in for a treat as Chad Smith joined the opening band, Babymetal, to cover two classic Judas Priest tracks.

The Japanese Metal Pop band supported the Chili Peppers for a leg of their UK arena tour (Because, why not?) with December 18th as their last day as openers. Making Babymetal's last tour stop extra special, Chad Smith joined the band on the drums, dawned in full Babymetal band attire (White facial makeup, a black wig, and a white robe). Chad Smith started with an insane drum solo, leading the band to cover Judas Preist tracks Painkiller and Breaking the Law. The O2 crowd went nuts. Afterwards, Chad Smith led the audience to sing happy birthday to Babymetal's lead vocalist, Su-metal, who turned 20.

Safe to say, it was an epic night for the audience, Babymetal, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Watch the spectacle below.
